Where to Start
The first steps to success are sometimes the most difficult to take. Our instructors and staff want to help! To begin this process, here are some things to remember:
The ABLE classes and Literacy Council are for everyone. You may have a high school diploma, but if you need help reading, understanding information or mathematics, we can help you with all of those things.
If you do not have a high school diploma, the goal would be to get your GED. The GED is a ticket to success. Most employers and colleges and universities will require you to have a High School diploma or GED.
The following requirements must be met for an individual to take the GED test. You must:
· Be 18 years of age, or, 16 years of age with special documentation from your school.
· Not be currently enrolled in school
· Have not received a high school diploma
· Be a resident of Ohio
Before registering to take the GED Test, you need to attend an Orientation session to assess your skill level and determine if classes would be helpful.
