What is Aspire?

Aspire is a program that offers free classes for adult learners, including those who have a high school diploma.

Our program offers basic skills in reading, math and writing, GED preparation classes and refresher or remedial courses for those with high school diploma or GED. We also offer assistance in finding your career path.

If you are thinking about going back to college, and it has been a while since you have been in school, the Aspire program is also a good way to brush up your skills.

What is the GED?

The General Educational Development (GED) tests provide students the opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma. This diploma is recognized as a vital key to employment opportunities, career advancement and further education.

The GED test has four subject areas; Reading and Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. The questions in each of these tests require you to use general knowledge and critical thinking skills. The GED Test is designed to measure the important knowledge and skills usually learned during four years of high school.

Classes are offered free of charge to help you prepare for this test.  In order to register for classes and assess what areas you need assistance in, we offer an orientation that is also free of charge.
